Terms of Service

Welcome to TaskCove. These Terms govern your use of TaskCove — the iPhone app, the web app at taskcove.app, and the AI connector (together, the "Service") provided by CoveloTech LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using TaskCove, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TaskCove. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

• You sign in with Apple, Google, or a one-time email code. Keep access to that sign-in method secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You may not share your account or transfer it to another person.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's settings.

3. What's free, and TaskCove Pro

• The core board, Spaces, and the AI connector are free to use.
• The AI connector works with your own AI subscription (for example Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor). That AI is billed by your provider — never by us — and uses your own usage allowance.
• We are introducing an optional paid tier, TaskCove Pro, that unlocks the AI features we run on your behalf in the iPhone app (such as assisted parsing, document scanning, and photo identification), subject to fair-use daily limits.
• When a paid plan is available to you, its price, billing period, and renewal and cancellation terms are shown clearly before you pay. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If a plan is offered through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard subscription, billing, and refund terms apply to that purchase and are managed in your Apple account settings.

4. AI features

The AI connector lets you link your own AI assistant. It reads and updates only your TaskCove board, using your own credentials and your own AI plan. We do not read, store, or pay for your AI conversations.

Separately, optional Pro features in the iPhone app send the specific text or image you choose to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and Google Gemini) to return a result — for example, turning a typed line into a task or identifying a product in a photo. We never send your whole account, and these requests are not used to train those providers' models. AI output can be wrong — review it before you rely on it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Store highly sensitive data the Service isn't designed for — government IDs, medical records, financial account numbers, or login credentials for other services (see our Privacy Policy).
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code beyond what the law permits.
• Use TaskCove to break any law, infringe intellectual property, or harm others.
• Attempt to overwhelm our systems, abuse rate limits, or interfere with other users.

6. Your content and our content

• The TaskCove name, app, website, and code are owned by CoveloTech LLC.
• Your data — your tasks, Spaces, notes, and any records or photos you add — remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

TaskCove is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoveloTech LLC and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of TaskCove. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using TaskCove and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm others. On termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which CoveloTech LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and CoveloTech LLC agree to resolve any dispute in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be flagged in the app at next sign-in. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
